Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform Functional, System, Integration, and Regression Testing for Mainframe applications.
- Validate batch processing, file transfers, and online transactions.
- Execute test cases and report defects using defect tracking tools.
- Coordinate with development and business teams for issue resolution.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
- Support UAT activities and production validation.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong experience in Mainframe Testing.
- Hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
- Experience in Batch Testing and File Validation.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Experience in Test Case Preparation and Execution.
- Strong SQL/DB2 Query knowledge.




- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or ALM.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Good to Have

- Banking/Financial Services domain experience.
- Exposure to Automation Testing concepts.
- Knowledge of API Testing.
- Experience with End-to-End Integration Testing.
- Production Support and Release Validation experience.

Required Candidate Profile

- 6-10 years of relevant Mainframe Testing experience.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to attend a Face-to-Face interview in Bangalore on 05 Sep.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
