Role & responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
- Define and implement overall test automation strategy, standards, processes, and best practices.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Review requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop robust automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, etc.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex product and automation issues.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to automation coding standards.
- Mentor and guide SDET/QA engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Drive improvements in test coverage, execution time, reliability, and overall QA efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and ensure timely, high-quality releases.

Preferred candidate profile





- 5 to 10 years of experience in Software Development in Test (SDET), QA Automation, or Software Testing, with relevant experience in a technical leadership role.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium, Playwright/Cypress, API automation, and Rest Assured.
- Robust understanding of automation framework architecture, test design, and testing methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Good knowledge of Git, SQL, Docker, cloud platforms, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in performance, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing is preferred.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline; MCA is also acceptable.
- ISTQB, cloud, or relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage.
