Roles & Responsibilities
- Security Strategy: Define and execute an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy aligned with overall corporate business goals.
- Executive Advisory: Serve as the primary security advisor to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
- Incident Command: Lead the crisis management team during high-priority security incidents to minimize business disruption.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure continuous compliance with global data privacy regulations and strict industry-specific standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct continuous quantitative risk assessments to identify, prioritize, and mitigate emerging digital threats.
- Budget Ownership: Allocate and optimize the multi-million dollar annual cybersecurity budget across tools and talent.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of security engineers, analysts, and architects.
- Vendor Governance: Evaluate and manage strategic relationships with third-party security vendors and managed service providers.
- Policy Architecture: Author, enforce, and regularly update comprehensive security policies, procedures,
and data governance frameworks.
- Culture & Training: Spearhead continuous security awareness programs to foster a vigilant, risk-aware corporate culture.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 4+ years leading security teams.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, or CRISC designations are highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Technical Depth: Proven track record securing complex cloud environments, enterprise networks, and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Architecture Knowledge: Familiar with understanding of Zero Trust architecture, identity management (IAM), and SIEM/XDR platforms.
- Communication: Masterful ability to explain complex technical vulnerabilities to non-technical business leaders.
- Problem Solving: Calm demeanor under pressure with exceptional analytical and decisive crisis-response skills.
