Job Description Overview: A client of ours is looking for a Senior Analyst, Controllership that is responsible for supporting their SEC and external financial reporting processes while serving as the global lease accounting subject matter expert under ASC 842. This role will drive compliance, reporting accuracy, process improvements, and technology enhancements across the Finance organization. Combining technical accounting expertise, SEC reporting, lease accounting ownership, process automation, and leadership responsibilities, including coaching team members and partnering with auditors and senior leadership. Day to Day: - Prepare and support SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and 11-K reports - Assist with quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and external financial reporting - Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation activities - Serve as the global lease accounting SME and process owner under ASC 842 - Manage lease accounting activities including new leases, modifications, renewals, terminations, and reconciliations - Perform lease controls, data quality reviews, system governance, and audit support - Drive process improvements through automation, standardization, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions - Support lease accounting system enhancements, testing, and integrations - Execute and review SOX controls and collaborate with internal and external auditors - Supervise and mentor team members, review deliverables, and support employee development Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - CPA required - 4-6 years of accounting and/or auditing experience - SEC reporting experience, including preparation/review of 10-K and 10-Q filings - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements - Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting - Experience with financial close, consolidations, reconciliations, SOX controls, and audit support - Demonstrated process improvement, automation, or finance transformation experience - Advanced Excel skills - Leadership experience through direct management, project leadership, or functional oversight Robust analytical, communication, and project management skills - Public accounting experience - Experience within a multinational public company - Experience with lease accounting platforms - Workiva experience - Oracle consolidation system experience - ERP system experience - Experience leading system implementations, enhancements, or migrations AI, automation, and data analytics experience within Finance functions
