TMUS Global Solutions
TMUS Global Solutions is a world-class technology powerhouse accelerating the companys global digital transformation. With a culture built on growth, inclusivity, and global collaboration, the teams here drive innovation at scale, powered by bold thinking.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer Software on the Continuous Delivery Platforms team, you will help build, operate, and evolve the internal CI/CD platform that is the backbone of software delivery across the enterprise. You will work at the intersection of platform engineering, infrastructure, and developer experience designing and maintaining pipeline infrastructure, build and deployment tooling, and Kubernetes-based environments that engineering teams across the organization depend on to ship software reliably and quickly. You will write production-quality code, automate operational toil, improve platform reliability and observability, and raise the bar on engineering standards. You will also apply AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns as a core part of your day-to-day SDLC going beyond prototypes to production-grade use.
We pride ourselves on encouraging a culture of innovation, agile ways of working, and transparency in all we do. Join us in embodying the spirit of the Un-carrier and make a tangible impact!
What Youll Do
- Build, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems, artifact management, and deployment tooling used across the engineering organization.
- Design and maintain scalable, reliable Kubernetes-based infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Develop platform tooling and automation in Go and/or Python to reduce operational toil and improve developer velocity.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows for repeatable,
auditable environment management.
- Improve platform observability logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting and strengthen reliability and incident response.
- Partner with security and reliability teams to embed guardrails, secrets management, and compliance into the platform.
- Drive developer-experience improvements and support platform adoption across product engineering teams.
- Engage directly with engineering teams to understand their workflows and pain points via developer interviews, feedback channels, and other customer-discovery practices treating internal developers as the platforms customers.
- Troubleshoot production issues across pipelines, infrastructure, and distributed systems; perform root cause analysis and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to engineering standards, patterns, and best practices for CI/CD and platform engineering.
- Apply AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns as a core part of the SDLC in production-grade workflows beyond prototypes (e.g., pipeline automation, code and test generation, refactoring assistants, automated reviews, and agentic task execution).
- Conduct peer code reviews, provide actionable feedback, and mentor engineers in platform, infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new tooling including GenAI-powered developer tools to improve team velocity and platform capabilities.
What Youll Bring
Required
- 5+ years building and operating production-grade systems, with meaningful time in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps domains.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Robust Kubernetes experience youve operated production-grade clusters, not just deployed workloads onto them.
- Proficiency in Go and/or Python; you write production-quality code, not just scripts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), including networking, IAM, and managed services.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and automated, repeatable deployments.
- Demonstrated use of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns in real SDLC workflows applied to production work, not just experiments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and drive root-cause fixes.
- Track record of performing code reviews, mentoring peers, and holding the line on engineering standards.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GitOps patterns and tooling (ArgoCD, Flux).
- Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs) or platform-as-a-product thinking.
- Exposure to platform observability, SRE practices, or FinOps.
- Experience integrating GenAI tools into developer workflows (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or tooling on top of LLM APIs).
- Contributions to open source infrastructure or DevOps tooling.
- Experience with agentic AI platform tooling AWS AgentCore, LangChain, Anthropics Agent SDK, or similar applied to agentic SDLC workflows.
- Familiarity with knowledge-graph technologies (GraphRAG, Neo4j, or similar) as applied to agentic developer tooling and SDLC workflows.
- Experience with customer-discovery or user-research techniques (e.g., developer interviews, journey mapping) applied to internal platform users.
Must Have Skills
- CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Kubernetes at production scale.
- Go and/or Python (production-quality).
- Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Infrastructure-as-code and automated deployments.
- Platform observability and reliability practices.
- Applied AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns in the SDLC (production-grade, beyond prototypes).
