Intermediate Quality Engineer API & UI Automation L6

Required Skills:

- 58 years of experience in Software Testing with strong focus on API and UI automation.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Postman (API testing) and Playwright (UI automation).
- Robust programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript for automation development.
- Experience in building end-to-end automation frameworks covering API and UI.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and authentication (OAuth, JWT).
- Experience validating JSON/XML payloads and API contracts.
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL/databases for backend validation.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Experience in cross-browser testing.
- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Kibana).

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Layer7 or API gateway platforms.
- Exposure to authentication systems (OAuth, IAM, SSO).




- Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
- Experience in Banking/Financial domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform end-to-end testing across API and UI layers.
- Validate API-driven business logic including authentication flows.
- Automate UI workflows using Playwright for user journey validation.
- Build automation frameworks for API and UI testing.
- Develop reusable automation scripts for regression and integration testing.
- Perform data validation across API, UI and databases.
- Execute automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects.
- Support Layer7 migration validation including API comparison and regression.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
- Improve automation coverage and testing processes.
- Document frameworks and testing approaches.
