Must-Haves:

- Extensive professional experience architecting and developing .NET applications, with a strong C# foundation
- Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed-system design
- Experience applying domain-driven design to create well-bounded services
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable agentic coding solutions
- Demonstrated success using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity across a team
- Experience with authentication and security protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
- Experience with identity providers such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD
- Working knowledge of secure APIs, rate limiting, secrets management, role-based access control, managed identities, and encryption
- Experience producing and presenting architecture artifacts, including sequence diagrams, domain models, data-flow diagrams, specifications, solution blueprints, AI workflows, and cloud architecture diagrams
- Solid understanding of data-integration patterns and event-driven systems
- Experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka
- Ability to communicate technical architecture effectively to engineering teams and executive stakeholders

- Deep Microsoft Azure experience, particularly with App Services, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Azure SQL
- Comparable AWS architecture experience
- Experience with event-driven architecture, CQRS, and serverless design patterns
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating monolithic systems to microservices
- Familiarity with Generative AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, AWS AgentCore, or comparable technologies

Day-to-Day:

- Design and evolve cloud-native architecture across compute, API management, messaging, eventing, and data layers
- Define scalable, secure, resource-oriented REST APIs focused on performance and developer usability
- Apply microservice and domain-driven design principles to decompose complex business domains
- Use event-driven, CQRS, and serverless patterns to create scalable and maintainable solutions
- Produce architecture diagrams, domain models, data-flow diagrams, AI workflows, specifications, and cloud blueprints
- Present architecture recommendations to technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership for cloud modernization, legacy-system migration, AI readiness, and platform performance
- Embed identity, access control, encryption, and other security and compliance practices into solution designs
- Partner with product and data teams to integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities into core products
- Drive AI-powered automation throughout the platform
- Champion intelligent development tools and practices that improve code quality, engineering productivity, and delivery velocity
