Role & responsibilities

- Take complete ownership of end-to-end civil construction and renovation activities from mobilization to project handover.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, site conditions, and project requirements before and during execution.
- Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and material requirements.
- Manage day-to-day site execution, including demolition, civil works, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting, false ceiling, faade, external works, and other renovation activities.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Plan and monitor the work of civil contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Ensure execution is as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, quality standards, and construction methodology.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and take corrective action to avoid delays.
- Manage procurement and timely availability of materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Check measurements, contractor bills, variations, extra items, and quantities before certification.
- Identify project risks, construction issues, and site constraints and resolve them proactively.
- Maintain strict control over project costs, variations, wastage, and resource utilization.
- Conduct regular site meetings and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil,



electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, interiors, and other services.
- Supervise testing, inspections, snag rectification, finishing works, and final handover.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, statutory requirements, and quality-control processes.
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, RFIs, approvals, work orders, inspection records, measurements, and as-built information.
- Coordinate final completion, snagging, documentation, and handover to the client.

Preferred candidate profile

- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, renovation, fit-out, or refurbishment projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in site execution and project management.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of BOQ, estimation, billing, rate analysis, quantity measurement, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, sequencing, and quality standards.
- Valuable project scheduling and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage a project from pre-construction through completion and handover.
