About the Role

ORCHIDS The International School, Dombivli, is looking for a passionate, creative, and student-centric Primary Science Teacher who can make Science engaging, meaningful, and relevant to young learners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of primary-level Science concepts and the ability to teach through experimentation, activities, observation, inquiry-based learning, and real-life applications. The teacher should be able to create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop scientific thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Science lessons for Grades 1–5.
- Implement the school's curriculum and learning objectives effectively.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
- Explain scientific concepts using simple, relatable,



and age-appropriate examples.
- Encourage students to observe, question, investigate, experiment, and draw conclusions.
- Integrate real-life examples and everyday experiences into Science lessons.
- Use teaching aids, models, experiments, videos, digital tools, and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
- Develop students' curiosity, logical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Encourage students to develop a scientific temperament and an interest in the world around them.

Lesson Planning & Resources

- Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, activities, experiments, and other teaching resources.
- Design hands-on experiments and classroom demonstrations appropriate for primary students.
- Develop differentiated learning activities to cater to students with varying learning abilities.
- Integrate technology and digital learning resources into Science instruction.
- Create project-based and interdisciplinary learning experiences where appropriate.
