# Job Description Senior Engineer – MEP QA/QC

## Position

*Senior Engineer – MEP QA/QC*

## Experience

*4–8 years* of relevant experience in *MEP-QA/QC for building construction projects*, preferably with exposure to large-scale residential, commercial or high-rise projects.

## Qualification

* *BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering*

* Candidates with strong hands-on MEP-QA/QC experience in building projects will be preferred.

## Job Location

*Jamnagar, Gujarat*

## Key Responsibilities

* Implement and monitor *QA/QC procedures and quality standards* for MEP works.

* Conduct inspections to ensure MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs.

* Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, client representatives and site execution teams for inspections and approvals.

* Review *Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and material submittals*.

* Prepare and submit *Inspection Requests (IRs)* and maintain inspection records.

* Raise, track and close *NCRs, observations and quality issues*.

* Verify MEP materials and equipment against approved specifications.

* Conduct pre-inspections and final inspections before offering works to the consultant/client.

* Verify installation quality, alignment, levels, supports, sleeves, openings and coordination with civil/architectural works.

* Monitor testing and commissioning activities and maintain proper test records.

* Coordinate with Civil QA/QC teams for proper integration of MEP services with building works.

* Prepare *daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC reports*.





* Ensure compliance with applicable *IS, IEC, NFPA standards and project specifications*.

## Electrical QA/QC Exposure

* LT/HT electrical works

* Transformer, DG and electrical panels

* Distribution Boards (DBs)

* Cable laying and termination

* Cable trays and supports

* Earthing and lightning protection

* Lighting and power systems

* Fire alarm and ELV systems

* Testing and commissioning

## Mechanical QA/QC Exposure

* HVAC systems and ducting

* Chilled water piping

* Pumps and mechanical equipment

* Plumbing and drainage systems

* Firefighting systems

* Fire pumps and related equipment

* Pressure/hydro testing

* Equipment installation and alignment

* Testing and commissioning

* Insulation works

## Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of *MEP inspection and quality control procedures*.

* Ability to read and interpret *MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings and specifications*.

* Good knowledge of *ITP, Method Statements, Checklists, IRs and NCR procedures*.

* Knowledge of relevant *IS, IEC, NFPA and project-specific standards*.

* Good understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.

* Good documentation and reporting skills.

* Proficiency in *MS Office and Excel*.

* Strong coordination and communication skills.
