About the Role - We’re looking for a YouTube Long-Form Video Editor who understands that great editing is more than just putting clips together.

You’ll be responsible for transforming raw footage, scripts, interviews, and creative direction into engaging, polished, and retention-focused YouTube videos. We’re looking for someone who has a strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, visual language, motion graphics, and B-roll selection.

If you naturally think about “How do we keep the viewer watching?” while editing, you’ll fit right in.

What You'll Do -

- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Understand the video's narrative, identify the strongest moments, and create a compelling flow.
- Maintain strong pacing, structure, rhythm, and viewer retention throughout the video.
- Add relevant and tasteful B-roll, stock footage, screenshots, graphics, references, and visual elements to support the story.
- Use AI tools creatively and responsibly to source or generate relevant B-roll and visual assets where required.
- Create engaging motion graphics, transitions, text animations, lower thirds, and visual effects.
- Work with sound effects, music, dialogue cleanup, and basic audio mixing to create a polished viewing experience.
- Collaborate closely with the creative/content team to understand the objective and tone of each video.
- Take feedback constructively and implement revisions quickly and effectively.
- Ensure all final videos meet quality, brand, and platform requirements.
- Stay updated with evolving YouTube editing trends, formats, storytelling techniques, and audience behaviour.

What We're Looking For -
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Prior experience editing YouTube long-form content.
- Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling and audience retention.
- Valuable understanding of motion graphics and visual storytelling.
- Ability to source and integrate B-roll tastefully,



including using AI-powered tools where appropriate.
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, composition, and visual aesthetics.
- Good understanding of music, sound design, SFX, and how they contribute to storytelling.
- Ability to take a creative brief and independently translate it into a strong edit.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work within deadlines without compromising on quality.
- A portfolio/showreel demonstrating long-form YouTube editing work is highly preferred.

What Will Help You Stand Out -
- Experience working with creators, YouTube channels, media companies, agencies, or digital-first brands.
- Understanding of YouTube analytics, audience retention, CTR, watch time, and content performance.
- Experience with AI-assisted video workflows and emerging creative tools.
- Strong understanding of different YouTube formats such as interviews, podcasts, documentaries, explainers, commentary, educational content, or creator-led content.
- A strong creative eye and the ability to know when less is more.
