Position: X-Ray Trainee

Location: Ardram Hospital, Vettichira

Reports To: Radiology In-Charge / Radiographer

JOB SUMMARY The X-Ray Trainee will undergo practical training in the Radiology Department and assist qualified radiographers in performing routine X-ray procedures. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in patient preparation, positioning, equipment handling, image acquisition, radiation safety, and departmental documentation while following hospital protocols and professional standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist radiographers in routine X-ray examinations under supervision.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for different X-ray procedures.
- Assist in operating X-ray equipment as instructed and under supervision.
- Follow radiation safety practices and use protective equipment appropriately.
- Maintain patient identification, examination details, and required records.
- Ensure the X-ray room and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Assist in maintaining proper patient care and communication during procedures.




- Follow infection-control practices and hospital safety guidelines.
- Report equipment issues or abnormalities to the Radiology In-Charge.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies.
- Participate in departmental training and other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma / Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
- Freshers and candidates seeking practical training may apply.
- Basic knowledge of radiographic procedures and radiation safety is preferred.
