We are looking for a Woven Textile Designer to join our Design & Product Development team.

The role will focus on developing innovative, premium and commercially relevant woven fabrics for menswear , working across yarns, colours, weave structures, patterns, textures and finishes.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of woven textiles and a passion for creating fabrics that are both design-led and commercially successful .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new woven fabric qualities for seasonal menswear collections.
- Design and develop checks, stripes, plains, dobby, herringbone, twills, oxford, chambray, slub and textured fabrics .
- Develop new fabric constructions using different yarn counts, blends and weave structures.
- Research international fashion and textile trends, colours, patterns and fabric directions.
- Create seasonal colour palettes and fabric stories.
- Work with yarn suppliers, weaving, processing and production teams to execute new developments.




- Coordinate fabric development from concept → yarn → construction → weaving → finishing → final approval .
- Develop new and cutting-edge fabrics using cotton, viscose, linen, lyocell, bamboo, polyester and specialty yarns.
- Work closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to understand customer and market requirements.
- Develop fabrics according to target markets and price points.
- Maintain an organised library of fabric developments, swatches, references and designs.
- Participate in market visits, exhibitions and fabric sourcing trips for trend and product research.

What We're Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in woven textile design / fabric development / menswear textiles .
- Degree or diploma in Textile Design, Textile Technology, Fashion & Textile Design or a related field.
- Strong understanding of woven fabric construction and yarns .
- Good knowledge of menswear shirting fabrics.
- Strong understanding of colour, pattern, texture and fabric aesthetics.
- Ability to develop commercially viable checks, stripes and woven structures.
- Strong creative and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with technical and production teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple developments.

Software Skills

- Adobe Photoshop
- Textile / CAD design software
- Excel / Google Sheets

Knowledge of weave-design software will be an advantage.
