About HSIMHSIM – Hindustan School of Internet Marketing is a digital marketing education and training organization focused on practical learning, digital skills and industry-oriented training.

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor who can take ownership of our short-form video production and help us create consistent, engaging and high-quality content for our digital platforms.

About the RoleAs a Senior Video Editor, you will be responsible for the complete video production workflow — from understanding the content requirement and shooting footage to editing, enhancing and delivering the final video.

This is an independent, ownership-driven role. We are looking for someone who can understand the objective of a video, make creative decisions and deliver publish-ready content without requiring detailed instructions for every edit.

The role will primarily focus on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing

- Edit high-quality short-form videos for social media platforms
- Produce approximately 50 reels per month
- Select the best footage and create engaging video sequences
- Develop strong hooks and maintain audience attention through effective pacing
- Improve storytelling through editing, sequencing and visual treatments
- Add captions, transitions, motion graphics, music and sound effects
- Perform color correction and basic color grading
- Maintain clean and consistent audio levels
- Ensure videos follow the required platform formats and specifications
- Maintain consistent HSIM branding across content

Video ShootingThe role may also involve shooting content. The candidate should be comfortable with:

- Setting up shots and understanding framing/composition
- Basic lighting setup
- Recording clean and usable audio
- Capturing multiple angles and supporting footage when required
- Understanding what footage will be required for the final edit
- Ensuring that the footage captured is suitable for professional editing





The responsibility is not limited to editing. The candidate should understand the complete process from shooting to final delivery. Creative ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for someone who can contribute creatively, not just execute instructions.

You will be expected to:

- Research relevant creative references and content formats
- Stay updated with short-form video trends
- Suggest stronger hooks and presentation ideas
- Identify opportunities for motion graphics and visual effects
- Recommend suitable music and sound treatments
- Improve pacing and retention through creative editing
- Adapt editing styles according to the content and target audience
- Suggest improvements when the original footage or concept can be presented better

Software SkillsCandidates should have strong practical knowledge of relevant editing and design tools, including:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- CapCut
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator

The candidate should be able to independently select and use the appropriate software based on the requirements of the project. What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate should have:

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand feedback and implement it effectively
- Willingness to experiment with new editing styles and creative formats
- Ability to maintain quality while working at a consistent production volume





Performance ExpectationsThe role involves consistent content production, with an expected output of approximately:

50 reels per month The focus will be on both quality and consistency.

We expect the editor to:

- Deliver videos within agreed timelines
- Maintain consistent editing quality
- Reduce unnecessary revisions
- Review work carefully before submission
- Learn from previous feedback
- Maintain organized project files and footage
- Take ownership of the final output

A successful candidate will be someone who can consistently produce publish-ready content with minimal supervision. Experience2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Portfolio RequirementCandidates should have a portfolio or showreel demonstrating their video editing capabilities.
