About OVIO
OVIO builds healthcare brands for the way people actually live. We operate across regulated pharmacy and health supplements, bringing together clinicians, pharmacists, engineers and designers to make treatment and everyday wellbeing genuinely accessible. Our pharmacy services are GPhC registered and clinician led, with patient safety governing every decision before commercial ones get a hearing.
We are a rapid paced team moving quickly in a heavily regulated space. That combination is the interesting part, and it is why we care as much about clinical governance and compliance as we do about product and growth.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Website QA Tester to join immediately and own quality across our Shopify stores and patient facing web journeys. You will actively hunt for bugs, not just run through checklists. That means exploring the sites the way a real customer would, trying to break checkout, consultation flows, apps and integrations across devices and browsers, and finding the problems before a customer does.
This is a hands on role for someone who has tested Shopify and ecommerce sites end to end for years and knows instinctively where they break. Experience with UK online pharmacy or regulated healthcare sites is essential, because our checkout and consultation flows carry compliance requirements that a standard ecommerce site does not.
What you will do
- Proactively explore our live sites and staging environments to find bugs, broken journeys, edge cases and anything that does not work as it should
- Test new features, theme changes, apps and integrations across our Shopify stores before release
- Run full end to end testing of product pages, cart, checkout, payments, discounts, subscriptions and account areas
- Test consultation and prescription order flows to make sure eligibility checks, compliance rules and messaging work correctly
- Cross browser and cross device testing on desktop, iOS and Android
- Regression test after every deployment and theme update
- Test email and SMS flows, tracking, analytics tags and third party integrations
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots and recordings, prioritise by severity, and manage them through to closure
- Create and maintain test cases, checklists and release sign off documentation
- Monitor live sites daily and flag anything broken quickly
- Work closely with developers, designers and marketing on release planning and priorities
What you need
- 5+ years in website QA testing, with at least 3 years on Shopify and ecommerce sites
- Experience testing UK online pharmacy, telehealth or regulated healthcare websites
- Proven ability to find bugs independently through exploratory testing, not just scripted test cases
- Deep knowledge of Shopify: themes, checkout, apps, discounts, subscriptions, Shopify Payments and third party gateways
- Strong manual testing skills across functional, regression, exploratory, cross browser and mobile testing
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello or Linear
- Understanding of tracking and analytics testing (GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager)
- Sharp eye for detail, including copy, layout and spelling errors
- Excellent written and spoken English, and able to work regular overlap on UK hours
- Available to start immediately
Nice to have
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
- Experience testing Customer.io or Klaviyo email flows
- Experience testing WooCommerce or Amazon listings
- Basic HTML, CSS and Liquid knowledge
- Experience with accessibility and page speed testing
What we offer
- Fully remote role
- Immediate start
- Ownership of quality across a group of UK healthcare brands
- Small team, direct access to the CTO and developers, real impact on what ships
