IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

ONLY CANDIDATES WITH PROPERTY DEVELOPER / REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE NEED APPLY.

Real estate / property development experience is mandatory. Candidates without this experience need not apply. Candidates must have hands-on accounting experience in real estate / property development / redevelopment / apartment development / housing.

Role Overview

Hands-on Senior Accountant responsible for independently managing key day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including Tally Prime, cash-flow statements, receivables/payables, GST and taxation, payroll, reconciliations, MIS, audits and financial documentation. Must understand real-estate project transactions, customer/vendor accounting, project expenses, collections and payments. TNRERA exposure is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Tally Prime

- Independently manage day-to-day entries in Tally Prime: sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journals.
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor and project ledgers; review discrepancies and keep books/supporting documentation complete and current.
- Handle project-related accounting and financial documentation.

1. Cash Flow Management

- Prepare and maintain cash-flow statements; track customer inflows, vendor payments, project expenses and commitments.
- Provide regular updates; flag cash-flow gaps/funding requirements and monitor actual versus planned cash movement.

1. Receivables & Payables

- Monitor receivables/payables,



ageing and overdue amounts; maintain vendor payment schedules.
- Verify invoices/supporting documents and coordinate with Sales, CRM, Collections, Projects and vendors; escalate significant issues.

1. GST & Taxation

- Handle GST-related accounting, invoice verification, records and statutory information.
- Maintain working knowledge of housing/real-estate taxation; coordinate with tax consultants/auditors and ensure accurate, complete records.

1. Payroll Working & Compliance

- Prepare monthly payroll working; verify salary inputs/deductions and coordinate with HR/Administration.
- Maintain payroll accounting records and support applicable statutory compliance.

1. Reconciliations

- Perform bank, customer, vendor and applicable project-account reconciliations; resolve differences and close items on time.

1. MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare required daily/weekly/monthly MIS covering receivables, payables, collections, payments and project-wise reporting.
- Track expenditure against budgets; highlight unusual transactions, variances and financial risks.

1. Audit & Compliance

- Maintain audit-ready documentation, schedules and compliance checklists; coordinate with auditors and close queries/pending items.

1. Real Estate / Housing Industry Knowledge

- Required understanding of real-estate project accounting, apartment/housing transactions, customer collections, project expenses/vendor payments,



construction/development accounting and real-estate taxation.
- TNRERA knowledge/exposure is an additional advantage.

1. Coordination & Ownership

- Coordinate with Sales, CRM, Projects, Procurement, HR, Administration and other teams; ensure timely finance information/documents and resolve accounting/payment queries.
- Own assigned accounting processes, keep the Manager informed of risks/exceptions/delays, and act as operational backup for routine finance activities when required.

Required Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field; CA Inter / CMA Inter is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Mandatory: Real estate / property developer experience.
- Hands-on proficiency in Tally Prime and solid accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of GST, taxation and housing/real-estate taxation.
- Experience in cash-flow statement preparation, payroll working/compliances, receivables, payables, reconciliations and audit coordination.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- TNRERA knowledge is an additional advantage.

Ideal Candidate Hands-on Senior Accountant able to independently manage accounting in a real-estate/property-development environment, with strong capability across Tally Prime, cash flows, GST/taxation, payroll, receivables/payables and reconciliations.
