- Professional customer-service language

- Identify recurring communication issues and create individualized improvement plans.
- Conduct call-listening and role-play exercises using realistic customer scenarios.

- Partner with Quality, Training, and Customer Support leadership to identify communication trends affecting customer experience.

- Track participant progress through pre- and post-training assessments.
- Conduct refresher sessions and targeted coaching for employees who require additional support.
- Maintain training records, assessment scores, coaching notes, and progress reports.
- Continuously improve the training program based on quality data, employee performance, and customer feedback.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience as a Voice & Accent Trainer, Communication Trainer, Language Trainer, or Soft Skills Trainer, preferably in a customer support, contact center, BPO, or similar environment.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Strong understanding of American English pronunciation, phonetics, intonation, stress patterns, and conversational speech.
- Ability to identify pronunciation and communication gaps accurately and explain corrections clearly.
- Robust facilitation, presentation, and one-on-one coaching skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback while maintaining clear performance expectations.
- Comfortable evaluating recorded or live customer interactions.
- Strong organizational and progress-tracking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience training customer support representatives serving U.S.-based customers.

- Knowledge of phonetics and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).
- Experience developing communication assessments and training curricula.
- Familiarity with customer support quality-assurance processes and call-scoring methodologies.
- Experience coaching both new hires and experienced employees.
- Train-the-Trainer, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, communication coaching, or similar certification is a plus.

Success Metrics Performance in this role may be measured through:

- Improvement between pre- and post-training communication assessments.
- Reduction in pronunciation, grammar, fluency, and communication-related QA errors.
- Improvement in call quality and customer communication scores.
- Percentage of employees successfully completing communication improvement plans.
- Demonstrated retention of skills following training.
- Feedback from trainees, QA teams, and customer support leadership.
- Observable improvement in employees' ability to communicate naturally, clearly, and professionally with customers.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has a sharp ear for spoken communication and can quickly identify why someone sounds unclear, unnatural, hesitant, overly scripted, or difficult to understand. They should be able to turn those observations into specific coaching—for example, correcting word stress, pacing, vowel or consonant sounds, intonation, sentence structure, or conversational phrasing—and then demonstrate measurable improvement over time.

The goal is not to erase an employee's identity or force an artificial accent. The goal is clear, easily understood, confident, and natural communication that enables excellent customer conversations.
