Role Description The Video Editor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing raw video footage into polished content for educational, promotional, and institutional communication materials. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming clips, adding transitions, titles, and graphics, syncing audio, and refining visual quality to align with brand guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with academic and marketing teams to understand project objectives, incorporating feedback, and delivering videos within defined timelines.

Editor may support video shoots,



help optimize content for digital platforms, and maintain an organized archive of media assets.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for a variety of formats and platforms
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and high-quality visual output
- Ability to create Motion Graphics and integrate Graphics to enhance storytelling and branding
- Experience with industry-standard editing and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro)
- Solid understanding of sound design, basic audio editing, and exporting formats for web and social media
- Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and ability to work with brand guidelines and creative briefs
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an academic environment
- Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience in educational, institutional, or corporate video projects is an advantage
