Role Description

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer Intern who is passionate about creating simple, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences.

You’ll work closely with the core team to design and improve FinEd’s web and product experience. This role will involve both UI design and UX thinking , from understanding user needs and mapping user journeys to creating wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces for FinEd
- Creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Improving existing screens and user journeys based on feedback and user behaviour
- Working with the team to understand product requirements and translate them into design solutions
- Maintaining consistency across FinEd’s visual language and design system
- Conducting basic user research and gathering feedback to identify usability improvements




- Collaborating with developers to ensure designs are implemented effectively
- Exploring new ideas and experimenting with ways to make financial education more engaging

This is a part-time, on-site/remote role . You’ll work directly with the core team in an early-stage startup environment, with significant room to experiment, learn, take ownership, and see your designs become part of a live product.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma or similar design tools
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Good understanding of user experience, usability, and visual hierarchy
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for clean, modern design
- Ability to think from the user's perspective and solve problems creatively
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of design tasks
- Interest in fintech, personal finance, education, or consumer technology is a plus
- A portfolio or examples of previous design work are preferred
