Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead – Java with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, cloud-native architecture, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will lead technical design initiatives, drive high-quality implementation, mentor engineering teams, and ensure timely delivery of scalable and reliable platform capabilities. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product, architecture, DevOps, QA, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and delivery of platform services.

- Provide technical direction and ensure engineering best practices are followed.

- Mentor team members through code reviews, design discussions, debugging support,



and technical guidance.

- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

System Design & Architecture

- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing backend systems.

- Build and evolve cloud-native microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+.

- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term platform strategy.

- Ensure systems are designed for reliability, observability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Software Engineering & Delivery

- Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and platform components.

- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code.

- Drive engineering practices such as unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, code quality checks, and automation.

- Own technical delivery from requirement analysis through deployment and production support.

Cloud, Databases & Messaging

- Work with AWS-managed services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS, and EKS.

- Design and optimize data models using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

- Build event-driven and asynchronous systems using Apache Kafka.

- Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues across services and infrastructure.

Planning & Collaboration

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineering managers,



and cross-functional teams.

- Provide accurate effort estimates and support release planning.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Resolve dependencies and make sound technical decisions to ensure smooth delivery.

Required Skills

- Robust hands-on experience with Java 17+.

- Expertise in Spring Boot 3+ and microservices architecture.

- Robust understanding of system design, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.

- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS, and EKS.

- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.

- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and performance optimization.

- Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, caching, logging, monitoring, and debugging.

- Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or other data engineering technologies.

- Understanding of data lakes and lakehouse architectures.

- Working knowledge of Python.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Exposure to observability, distributed tracing, metrics, alerting, and monitoring tools.

- Experience using GenAI tools in software development lifecycle activities.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

- Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days
