A Tally Accountant is responsible for managing a company's day-to-day financial operations, bookkeeping, and statutory compliance using Tally software (such as TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9). They maintain complete financial records, track business transactions, and ensure accurate tax reporting.

Core Responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Entering daily accounting vouchers, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Taxation & Compliance: Preparing data and filing monthly/quarterly tax returns, including GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and TDS/TCS deductions.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generating GST-compliant sales invoices, e-invoices, and e-way bills for goods movement.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconciling company bank statements with Tally ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Tracking vendor dues, customer outstanding balances,



and maintaining aging reports to manage cash flow.
- Inventory Tracking: Managing stock items, godown transfers, stock adjustments, and purchase/sales orders.
- Financial Reporting: Extracting essential financial reports from Tally, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Trial Balances, and Ledger Summaries.
