About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RF and Optical Communication Engineer to join our dynamic team at Vistance Networks. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, modeling, and validating advanced RF and optical communication architectures.

Your expertise will support the development of innovative solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency across our product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product lifecycle management, and engineering to ensure seamless integration and deployment of communication systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that push the boundaries of current technology, contributing directly to the future of global connectivity.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in optical communications, RF system design, and analog signal processing. Proficiency in engineering tools such as Microsoft Visio for diagram creation and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling is essential.





Candidates should demonstrate advanced analytical skills, troubleshooting capabilities, and experience in database design for managing engineering data, test results, and configuration records. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or VBA for automation and modeling tasks is highly desirable. A comprehensive understanding of end-to-end system architecture, along with excellent communication skills, will be crucial for success in this role.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in HFC and FTTx domains, along with relevant academic qualifications, is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Design, model, and validate RF communication architectures, including link budgets, modulation schemes, and interference mitigation strategies to optimize system performance.
- Support the design and analysis of optical communication paths, such as fiber-based analog transport systems, ensuring high fidelity and low noise across optical domains.
- Evaluate and optimize analog signal paths to maintain high-quality performance, addressing issues related to noise, distortion, and interference.
- Create detailed block diagrams, system schematics, and workflow documentation using Microsoft Visio to facilitate clear communication and project tracking.
- Develop and maintain engineering spreadsheets for calculations, data analysis, and system modeling, leveraging advanced Excel features such as formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.




- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including sales, product management, and engineering, to ensure the seamless integration of communication systems into existing infrastructure.
- Automate workflows and develop engineering tools using VBA, Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the development of system architecture and specifications for end-to-end communication solutions, ensuring scalability and robustness.
