Job Role
- MRF Centre Supervisor – Waste Management
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Central Delhi.
- Manage a team of 5–20 staff, including sorters, helpers, machine operators, and drivers as applicable.
- Ensure efficient segregation, sorting, processing, loading, unloading, and dispatch of recyclable and non-recyclable waste.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor staff productivity and quality of work.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and company standards.
- Manage shift schedules, break rotations, and alternate staff arrangements during absenteeism or equipment issues.
- Train new employees on waste-sorting standards, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
- Coordinate with municipal officers, SWM engineers, maintenance teams, transport vendors, collection teams, and recyclable buyers.
- Support inspections, audits, and compliance checks by maintaining and providing accurate records.
- Coordinate with engineers and maintenance teams regarding equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain daily attendance records and ensure accurate information for payroll processing.
- Enter operational data related to waste received, sorted output, bale production, dispatches, and downtime.
- Maintain site registers, weighbridge records, fuel and consumable records, and incident reports.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safe working practices at the facility.
- Monitor waste segregation quality and contamination levels and take corrective action when required.
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, and other safety incidents promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper housekeeping within the MRF premises.
- Monitor fuel, consumables,
inventory, and equipment usage to prevent wastage or misuse.
- Ensure basic machinery upkeep and coordinate timely repairs.
- Escalate manpower shortages, major equipment breakdowns, operational issues, and stakeholder complaints to the Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily MRF operations and workforce allocation.
- Monitor waste segregation, sorting, processing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure productivity, quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with municipal officers, engineers, vendors, transporters, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate attendance, production, inventory, and operational records.
- Prepare regular MIS and operational reports.
- Monitor machinery and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.
- Escalate critical issues to the MRF Centre Manager / Operations Manager.
Required Skills
- Strong team management and workforce coordination skills.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Good record-keeping and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of waste segregation and MRF operations is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with government/municipal officials and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
