Role Description: The Study Abroad Counsellor is a full-time, in office role based in Delhi, India. The counsellor will guide students through the entire study abroad process, including understanding their academic background, identifying suitable countries and institutions, and explaining program options. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, responding to student inquiries, assisting with applications and documentation, and providing information on visas, travel, accommodation, and financing.

The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international education trends,



collaborating with partner institutions, and using MapMyStudy’s online tools to track and manage student cases. The counsellor is expected to offer accurate, ethical guidance and ensure a positive experience for both students and institutional partners.

Qualifications

- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess student profiles and recommend suitable study abroad options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting one-on-one sessions, group presentations, and follow-ups.
- Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, visa requirements, and scholarship opportunities.
- Proficiency in using online platforms, CRM tools, and basic office software for managing student records and applications.
- Customer service orientation, with attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in study abroad counselling, international admissions, or education consulting is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external institutional partners while maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
