Role Purpose The Business Analyst – Energy acts as the vital bridge between the Energy business unit and the Country operations teams. This role is responsible for deeply understanding the needs of both external customers and internal teams to translate complex business requirements into data studies. From battery management systems and charging station software to internal analytical dashboards and customer-facing apps, you will ensure we build the right analyses to power our pan-African energy network.

Key Accountabilities

- Operational Analytics & Studies: Conduct deep-dive quantitative analyses on daily battery operations trends, station throughput, and network operational bottlenecks




- Daily Problem Solving: Work closely with the Energy Head to solve daily operational challenges using data-driven frameworks
- Collaboration: Represent the Energy team’s interests with central analytics teams and the product development lifecycle, collaborating closely with Tech teams to build battery, station, and related energy data
- Systems Design: Support the creation of internal tools, MIS, and analytical dashboards that provide real-time visibility into energy operations.
- User Advocacy: Conduct "on-the-ground" demand and usability studies to ensure external data dashboards and internal systems are intuitive and solve core user pain points.
- Demand & Utilization Tracking: Analyze station-level utilization and peak demand behavior to aid operational planning and resource deployment.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across different geographies (India, Dubai, Africa) for the energy org on data

Experience

- Relevant Tenure: Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Data Analyst.
- Data-Driven Operations:



Proven track record of conducting analytics and problem-solving to optimize daily operations in quick-paced environments.
- Tech & Startup Exposure: Prior exposure to high-growth startups, logistics, supply chain, or asset-heavy distributed networks is highly preferred

Capabilities

- Analytical & Quantitative Mastery: High proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, PowerBI/Tableau, or Python) to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
- Structured Problem Solving: Ability to take fuzzy operational issues, break them down logically, and synthesize data into concise recommendations.
- Attention to Detail: High precision and rigor in metric calculation, documentation, and reporting.
- Adaptability & Ownership: Ability to work autonomously under tight turnarounds in an fast-moving global ecosystem.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to present findings cleanly to senior leadership and collaborate with international teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Advanced ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful insights for dashboards and MIS.

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a quantitative field from Tier-1 / top-pedigree colleges (e.g., IITs, NITs, BITS, or premier national institutes)
