Job description – Structural Designer

Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and KP&J; A&E; standards and practices.n
Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in conformance to KP&J; standards and practices.n
Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.n
Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).n
Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.n
Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.n
Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.n
Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.n

nQualifications:
n
n




2 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.n
Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit softwaren
Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD softwaren
Robust understanding of how a building comes togethern
Ability to think in 3-Dn
Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineern
Proficiency with written and verbal communication skillsn
