Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test frameworks with a primary focus on

API Automation using Karate Framework

.

- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Perform comprehensive API validation, including request/response verification, authentication, data validation, and error handling.

- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and define effective test strategies.

- Identify automation opportunities and build reusable automation components to improve test coverage and efficiency.

- Execute exploratory, regression, retesting, and integration testing activities as required.

- Review requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to ensure testability and quality.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release planning.

- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams for resolution.

- Ensure compliance with software quality standards, testing best practices, and organizational processes.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation framework enhancements.





- Support release validation activities and production deployment verification when required.

- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in test automation and quality engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Solid hands-on experience with

Karate Framework for API test automation.

- Extensive experience in

API Automation Testing

.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and API security concepts.

- Experience with API testing tools such as

Postman

.

- Hands-on experience with

AWS for test automation, deployment, or cloud-based testing environments.

- Good programming knowledge in

Java

.

- Experience with automation framework design and maintenance.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Experience with defect management and test management tools such as

Jira

, Xray, or similar platforms.

- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with source control systems such as Git.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with IoT platforms and connected device ecosystems.

- Experience testing

IoT applications

, device-cloud integrations, and telemetry data workflows.

EDUCATION

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
