To plan, execute, and control daily injection moulding operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and cost efficiency, while ensuring optimal utilization of machines, moulds, manpower, and raw materials.
Process Control & Technical
Set, verify, and lock:
Injection parameters
Mould temperatures
MTC flow & chiller parameters
Troubleshoot moulding defects:
Short shot, flash, sink, burn, flow lines, warpage
Ensure first-off approval before mass production
Support current mould trials, PPAP & SOP stabilization
Work closely with tool room for:
Mould maintenance
Breakdown analysis
Preventive maintenance planning
Production & Operations
Plan daily and shift-wise production schedules as per PPC plan
Ensure machine uptime, cycle time adherence, and OEE improvement
Monitor and control:
Cycle time
Rejection %
Wastage & regrind usage
Ensure correct machine selection (tonnage vs mould size)
Coordinate mould changeovers and ensure SMED practices
Maintain 5S and discipline on shop floor.
Quality & Customer Compliance
Ensure compliance to:
Control Plan
Work Instructions
IATF 16949 / ISO procedures
Ensure traceability:
RM batch
Process parameters
Shift / operator records
Support customer audits, internal audits, and MACE audits
Drive root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone) for defects & rejections.
Manpower & Shift Management
Allocate operators, setters, and helpers shift-wise
Train operators on:
Machine operation
Safety
Quality awareness
Enforce safety rules:
PPE usage
LOTO
Protected mould handling
Control absenteeism and overtime.
KPIs (Performance Measurement)
Production achievement %
OEE
Rejection %
Breakdown hours
On-time delivery
Audit non-conformities
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain:
Daily production reports
Rejection & downtime reports
Tool history cards
Share shift MIS with management
Ensure accurate data entry in ERP / Odoo
