Job Purpose

The Network Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the operational performance of GPS devices, Passenger Information Systems (PIS), and related network infrastructure used in GSRTC bus operations. The role ensures accurate bus route information, proper data synchronization, and smooth system functioning for real-time passenger information services.

Educational Qualification

ITI-Copa,Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field

Expenses:
Expenses related to transportation within the division (Other Depot) and from the division to the head office will be reimbursed on a monthly basis. (Transportation expenses to the assigned depot are not included in this)

Technical Skills
Basic Computer Literacy




Microsoft Excel and Word
Basic database and portal operations of GPS tracking systems
Computer networking (LAN, WAN, VPN), Troubleshooting network and device connectivity
Basic Knowledge of Passenger Information Systems

Experience

1 - 3 years’ experience in network operations, GPS tracking systems, or IT infrastructure support, GSRTC Apprentice ship (preferred) or Filed Project in any government/Semi Government/Private

Working Conditions
Work may require coordination with multiple depots and operational teams.
