- Role Description The Sr Executive Purchase – Imported & Exotic Fruits is a full-time, in office position based in Vashi Mumbai ,

Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Procurement
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/importers of fresh fruits (e.g., apples, grapes, kiwis, oranges, dates, exotic fruits, etc.).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Plan and place orders based on seasonal availability, demand forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Track fruit markets prices, harvest seasons, and pricing trends across key sourcing materials .

Documentation
- Manage documentation including bills of suppliers , GRN of material etc
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, customs regulations,



and other statutory import requirements for perishable goods

Quality & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure fruits meet freshness, grading, and safety standards on arrival
- Monitor ambient or cold chain logistics, container temperature settings, and storage conditions to minimize spoilage/wastage.
- Track vehicle status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or quality issues with suppliers/logistics partners

Vendor & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with importers, agents, and trading houses
- Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews based on quality, pricing, and delivery reliability
- Explore new sourcing origins/markets to diversify supply and reduce dependency risk

Cost & Inventory Management
- Monitor landed cost calculations (FOB, freight, insurance, duties, handling) and optimize procurement cost
- Coordinate with finance for timely booking & payments of suppliers
- Work with warehouse/inventory teams to maintain optimum stock levels and reduce spoilage losses

Key RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture & Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.

Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase, with at least 3+ years specifically in imported fruits, fresh produce, or perishable food products
- Proven experience in international trade, import documentation, and customs procedures
