Key Responsibilities
Receive and review Purchase Requisitions (PR) from different departments.
Identify and coordinate with suitable suppliers/vendors for required materials.
Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and payment terms.
Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for purchase approval.
Negotiate with suppliers regarding price, quality, delivery schedule, and payment terms.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) after obtaining the required approvals.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, Quality, Accounts, and other departments regarding material requirements.
Maintain proper records of PR, quotation, comparative statement, PO, invoices, and supplier documents.
Monitor pending purchase orders and ensure timely closure.
Coordinate with Stores for material receipt, shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
Assist in identifying and developing recent suppliers/vendors.
Maintain supplier database and evaluate supplier performance.




Ensure purchases are made as per approved specifications and company procedures.
Support cost reduction initiatives through vendor negotiation and alternate sourcing.
Prepare regular purchase reports and pending order status.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with the company's purchase process and approval system.
Perform any other purchase-related duties assigned by the management.

Required Skills:
Good knowledge of Purchase & Procurement processes:
Vendor management and negotiation skills
Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office:
Positive communication and coordination skills
Ability to compare quotations and prepare comparative statements
Basic knowledge of ERP/Purchase software:
Good follow-up and time-management skills
Attention to detail and documentation skills

Qualification

Education: Graduate / Diploma in Engineering / B.Com / BBA / MBA (Purchase/Operations) preferred.
