We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Capital Markets domain within the BFSI sector. The candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, working closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable financial solutions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in capital market products, regulatory frameworks, trade lifecycle processes, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Functional Analysis

- Engage with business stakeholders (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office) to understand requirements.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews.

- Prepare

- Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
- Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria

- Process Flow Diagrams (BPMN/UML)
- Perform gap analysis and impact analysis for system enhancements.

2. Capital Markets Domain Expertise

Strong understanding of

- Trade lifecycle (Order Execution Clearing Settlement)

- Asset classes

- Equities

- Fixed Income
- Derivatives (F&O;, OTC)

- Commodities (optional)

- Corporate actions

- Collateral management
- Risk & Compliance
- Regulatory reporting (SEBI, RBI, MiFID, Dodd-Frank, etc.)





3. Technology & System Understanding

- Experience working with:

- Core trading platforms

- OMS/EMS systems
- Clearing & Settlement systems

- Treasury systems
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
- Exposure to SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.

4. Stakeholder Management

- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Support UAT planning, test case preparation, and execution.
- Conduct user training and prepare documentation.
- Support production releases and post-implementation validation.

Required Skills & Competencies

Mandatory:

- 8+ years of experience as Business Analyst in BFSI.
- Minimum 45 years in Capital Markets domain.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle.
- Experience in regulatory & compliance reporting.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile projects.

Positive to Have:

- Certifications (CBAP, FRM, CFA – Level 1+).
- Exposure to international markets.
- Experience in data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX).

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Engineering / IT.
- MBA (Finance) preferred.
