Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures specific to manufacturing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects related to systems from concept through implementation, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot issues specific to the manufacturing, and implement corrective actions.
- Lean Manufacturing: Promote and implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to drive continuous improvement in the production line.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tools specific to the systems.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in the manufacturing.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and modifications.
- Training: Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and new technologies related to the manufacturing.
- Safety: Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 08-12+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role in the Switch Gear, power electronics & Electronics manufacturing industry.
- Technical
- ERP systems, and manufacturing simulation tools. Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Familiarity with Switch Gear, UPS system components and assembly processes.
- Good technical knowledge of Switchgear Panels, Power Skids, SmartRun and Infrastructure Solutions.
- Knowledge in electrical product testing, functional testing.
- Ability to read and understand SLD, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOM and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of IR, Hi-Pot, Earth Continuity, Contact Resistance, Phase Sequence, Polarity and Interlock Testing.
- Basic understanding of LV/MV switchgear, circuit breakers, busbars, protection systems and power distribution.
- Experience in NPI, product transfer, prototype build and manufacturing process development.
- Knowledge of developing test procedures, work instructions, test fixtures and test benches.
- Ability to perform testing troubleshooting, failure analysis, RCA, 5-Why and corrective actions.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/HMI, automation, electrical controls and automated testing systems.
- Understanding of IEC/UL/IS standards, electrical safety, grounding, insulation and clearance requirements.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions specific to UPS manufacturing.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and project management abilities. Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to stand, walk,
and move around the manufacturing floor for extended periods.
Primary skills:
- 4/59 years for P2 OR 8–15 years for P3; 1 year flexibility only
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field
- Strong Manufacturing Engineering / Advanced Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Mandatory experience in Switchgear / Power Electronics / Electronics manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of Switchgear Panels, Power Skids, SmartRun and Infrastructure Solutions
