About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Developer to join our dynamic team at Shriram General Insurance Co. Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, managing, and optimizing our database solutions to ensure high performance, data integrity, and security.

Your expertise will support the development and maintenance of robust database systems that underpin our core business applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database architecture, query optimization, and troubleshooting, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have extensive experience with MySQL database architecture and administration, demonstrating proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

A solid understanding of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views is essential. Additionally, familiarity with database design principles, normalization,



indexing, and backup/recovery processes is required. Candidates should also have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases and related database objects to support business applications and data needs.
- Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Design and implement database schemas, including tables, indexes, and relationships, to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques to enhance query speed and system responsiveness.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Perform routine database maintenance activities such as backups, recovery, and patching to safeguard data assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators,



and application teams to facilitate seamless database integration and deployment.
- Support database migration, upgrades, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation detailing database structures, processes, and best practices.
- Implement and enforce database security measures, including access controls and encryption, to protect sensitive data.
