Job Summary The Software Engineer V (AI / Automation) is a recognized technical authority with broad or unique AI / automation expertise. This role defines architectural direction for enterprise automation, agentic automation patterns, multi-agent orchestration, IXP-enabled intelligent processing, standards, roadmap decisions, and long-term platform impact.

This level operates as a principal engineering leader, partnering with IPA Product Management, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Governance, Run/Support, and delivery leadership to shape future-state automation capabilities while ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, supportable, governed, and production ready.

Key Responsibilities

- Define enterprise automation engineering standards, architectural guardrails, reusable patterns, and technical strategy for Intelligent Process Automation and approved AI-enabled automation capabilities.
- Lead architecture and solution design for highly complex, transformational automation initiatives involving robots, agents, people, systems, data, decisions, and exception paths.
- Evaluate, guide, and operationalize emerging capabilities such as Agent Builder, Maestro, IXP, Document Understanding, Communications Mining, governance tooling, and production supportability patterns.
- Solve significant and unique issues requiring evaluation of strategic tradeoffs, technical debt, operating risk, AI governance, security, controls, scalability, explainability, maintainability, and production resilience.
- Influence platform roadmap decisions, long-term engineering standards, capability adoption, and cross-team technical practices.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects while cultivating technical excellence, disciplined innovation, and reusable engineering practices.
- Partner across Product, Architecture, Security, Governance, Delivery,



and Run/Support teams to align engineering capabilities with strategic business and operational objectives.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru India is a requirement of the role. *

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While in office presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field is required.

Experience

- Typically 12+ years of related experience with significant enterprise software engineering, intelligent automation, RPA delivery, architecture, implementation, AI-enabled automation, Maestro/agentic orchestration, IXP/document processing, and production supportability experience is required.
- Advanced RPA/UiPath certification or comparable demonstrated expertise preferred.
- Experience establishing enterprise standards, resolving unique technical issues, and influencing technology direction across large or complex delivery environments.
- Experience coordinating or mentoring senior engineers, architects, and distributed delivery teams across complex automation programs.

Technical And Business Skills

- Deep expertise in UiPath / IPA architecture, agentic automation, multi-agent orchestration with Maestro, intelligent extraction and processing, automation lifecycle governance, enterprise integration, reliability, performance, and production supportability.
- Advanced judgment in determining when to use traditional automation, workflow, API integration, AI/agentic capabilities, human-in-the-loop validation, or adjacent enterprise technologies.
- Ability to establish architectural guardrails that enable innovation while protecting security, controls, governance, and operational risk positions.
- UiPath Professional Developer training, Advanced Developer-level capability, and specialized UiPath Academy AI / automation coursework expected or preferred as applicable.




- Executive-level communication, cross-functional influence, technical mentorship, and enterprise strategy alignment.
