Job Summary The Software Engineer IV (AI / Automation - UiPath) is a technical leader across automation initiatives who shapes solution approach, delivery quality, platform usage, and reusable engineering patterns. This role designs complex UiPath automation systems including agentic automation patterns, Maestro orchestration, IXP-enabled extraction flows, enterprise integrations, and production-ready handoffs.

This level provides technical direction to engineers and delivery teams, guides design decisions, and helps ensure automation products are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned to IPA CoE governance and enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical design and implementation for complex automation solutions across multiple initiatives or process areas.
- Define reusable patterns, frameworks, standards, and development approaches for UiPath and AI-enabled automation delivery.
- Guide design decisions across deterministic RPA steps, probabilistic agent steps, extraction confidence handling, human validation, and exception paths.
- Design and support agentic automation components using UiPath Agents, Agent Builder, Maestro, IXP, enterprise APIs, and approved AI-enabled capabilities.
- Drive code quality, testing discipline, release readiness, security expectations, operational readiness, and Build-to-Run handoff practices.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical review, and influence delivery practices without relying solely on direct authority.
- Assess scope and technical tradeoffs, including schedule, functionality, cost, quality, controls, AI governance, and production supportability impacts.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru India is a requirement of the role. *

This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While in office presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field is required.

Experience

- Typically 8+ years of related experience, including progressive experience delivering UiPath-based AI / automation solutions and leading technical delivery work is required.
- Advanced UiPath development experience and exposure to agentic automation, Maestro, IXP architecture, document processing, communications classification, and enterprise integration preferred.
- Demonstrated experience guiding design reviews, reusable pattern adoption, engineering standards, production readiness, and technical risk mitigation.
- Experience working across distributed Agile delivery teams and collaborating with Product, Architecture, Security, Governance, Run/Support, and business SMEs.

Technical And Business Skills

- Wide-ranging expertise in UiPath platform engineering, automation architecture, agentic automation patterns, Maestro orchestration, IXP/document processing, enterprise integration, and operational supportability.
- Ability to evaluate multiple technical approaches and determine practical, governed, supportable solution designs.
- Strong design review, mentoring, standards development, and technical leadership capability.
- UiPath Professional Developer training, Advanced Developer-level capability, and specialized UiPath Academy AI / automation coursework expected or preferred as applicable.
- Strong communication skills to align engineers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, Run teams, vendors, and business stakeholders..
