Each month, the US board features hundreds of software, hardware, data, and security internships from vetted employers, with clear information on pay, duration, location, and required skills. Listings link directly to employer application pages, and candidates can use free email or Telegram alerts without creating an account. InternDoor also offers a browser-based resume tool that tailors existing resumes to specific roles without storing files or inventing experience.

Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role is a remote internship focused on building and improving features that support InternDoor’s engineering internship platform and tooling. Day-to-day tasks may include designing and developing backend services, implementing APIs, and contributing to data processing pipelines that keep listings accurate and up to date.

The intern will write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with engineers on testing, debugging, and performance improvements. The role also involves documenting technical work,



learning best practices for secure and reliable software, and working closely with the team to ship incremental updates. This internship is designed to provide practical experience in modern software development while contributing to tools that help students find better opportunities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Computer Science, including core concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one contemporary language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar).
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Back-End Web Development, including familiarity with APIs, databases, and basic web architectures.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, debug issues systematically, and collaborate using version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with testing frameworks, cloud platforms, or data processing tools is a plus but not required.
