Job Summary The Software Engineer III (AI / Automation) independently designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports enterprise automation solutions using the UiPath platform. This role partners with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, Run/Support teams, business SMEs, and the U.S.-based IPA Center of Excellence to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready automations aligned to approved business outcomes, scope integrity, governance standards, and operational readiness expectations.

This level is a fully qualified, journey-level engineering role. The engineer applies seasoned judgment to process design, integration patterns, exception handling, testing, agentic automation components, IXP-enabled extraction, Maestro-orchestrated process steps, and Build-to-Run readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business processes, data flows, decision points, exception scenarios, and system interactions to translate operational needs into effective automation designs.
- Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain UiPath-based automation solutions aligned to enterprise and IPA CoE standards.
- Implement approved agentic automation components, including agent workflows, Maestro orchestration steps, IXP extraction flows, human validation points, and deterministic RPA handoffs.
- Build reusable components, workflows, libraries, integrations, assets, logging, monitoring, and automation design artifacts.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, release readiness, change control, and production supportability activities.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, support root cause analysis, resolve defects, tune performance, and contribute to operational documentation.




- Assess technical impacts when scope changes are proposed and communicate impacts to schedule, functionality, cost, quality, controls, and supportability for Product and PM alignment.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru India is a requirement of the role. *

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field is required.

Experience

- Typically 5+ years of related software engineering, automation, systems analysis, or enterprise application delivery experience is required.
- Hands-on UiPath automation experience preferred, including Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, queues, assets, libraries, packages, logs, and environment-aware deployment practices.
- Exposure to UiPath Agents, Agent Builder, Maestro, IXP, Document Understanding, Communications Mining, or comparable intelligent automation capabilities preferred.
- Experience supporting UAT, production validation, defect triage, runbook inputs, and transition from Build to Run.

Technical And Business Skills

- UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, queues, assets, libraries, triggers, packages, logs, and monitoring.
- Strong automation workflow design, exception handling, reusable component development, and integration fundamentals.
- Working understanding of attended and unattended automation patterns, deterministic RPA steps, probabilistic AI/agent steps, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Associate-level UiPath Qualified Developer training or comparable Associate Developer pathway expected; certification preferred where available.

- Strong collaboration, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery ownership in Agile environments.
