Role Description The Software Engineer 2 at JobBeeper will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of core backend services that power real-time job alerts and personalized matching. This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru involves implementing scalable APIs, optimizing data processing pipelines, and enhancing system reliability and performance. The person in this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, implement new features, and improve existing functionality based on product roadmap and user feedback.

Daily work includes writing clean, testable code,



conducting code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and participating in continuous improvement of engineering practices and tooling.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar).
- Experience with Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and patterns.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching systems, and message queues.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Ability to debug complex issues, write unit and integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
