The Asset Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting and financial tracking of the company’s investment platforms, development projects, and underlying property-level assets, including land, hotel, and storage facility investments.



This role provides the core accounting data used in investment reporting, performance tracking, and downstream analytical calculations. The position requires strong knowledge of GAAP and tax treatment of fixed assets and development-related costs, as well as the ability to manage complex, multi-entity asset portfolios. Corporate accounting responsibilities are included but represent a smaller portion of the overall workload.

Maintain detailed accounting records for investment platforms, development projects, and property-level assets
Track capitalized costs associated with development projects, including land acquisition, construction-in-progress, and placed-in-service assets
Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfers for both book and tax purposes
Ensure accuracy and completeness of asset-level financial data used in investment reporting and performance
