Role Description This full-time, in office Senior Sales Engineer – Elevator Segment role is based in Mumbai. The position focuses on promoting and selling Schmersal safety and control solutions to elevator OEMs, contractors, and key accounts, while providing technical guidance on product selection and application. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding elevator system requirements, preparing proposals and quotations, and conducting product presentations and demonstrations. The Senior Sales Engineer will collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to resolve technical issues, support commissioning, and ensure reliable performance of installed solutions. The role also involves managing the sales pipeline, tracking opportunities, preparing regular reports, and contributing to market development activities such as seminars, trade shows, and customer training sessions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering skills, including solution-based selling, technical specification review,



and application engineering for elevator systems.
Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities, including troubleshooting, product configuration assistance, and coordination with engineering teams for complex issues.
Candidates should possess solid Communication skills, including clear technical explanation, presentation skills, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess proven Sales abilities, including pipeline management, negotiation, account management, and achievement of revenue and margin targets.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including responsive follow-up, relationship management, and focus on long-term customer satisfaction.
Experience in industrial automation, safety systems, or elevator industry applications is highly beneficial.
