About The Role The role of Software Developer (Automation/Full Stack) at S&P; Global offers an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, data-driven environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team dedicated to building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications deployed on AWS.

Your responsibilities will span the entire development lifecycle, from designing backend systems with Django and Python to creating intuitive frontend interfaces with React. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure. This position provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to critical business workflows, and enhance your expertise in cloud, DevOps, and automation practices.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Python is essential, particularly for backend development and ETL/data engineering tasks.





Experience with REST API design, data modeling, and working with platforms like Databricks or similar is highly desirable. Candidates should have practical knowledge of AWS services, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with SAML-based authentication systems like Okta is also important.

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend systems using Django and Python, including designing REST APIs, implementing authentication protocols such as SAML/Okta, and integrating with Databricks for data processing.
- Create and enhance frontend applications utilizing React, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs, managing user authentication, and delivering user-friendly workflows for data exploration, reporting, and approvals.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, VPC, Application Load Balancer, Route 53, ACM, and IAM, ensuring high availability and security.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker, automate deployment processes through GitHub Actions, and monitor system performance to ensure operational stability.
- Design, develop, and optimize Python-based ETL frameworks for data ingestion, transformation,



and loading from various sources such as APIs, S3, databases, and external systems, ensuring scalability and reusability.
- Provide support for production ETL jobs across Linux, AWS Lambda, EC2, and Windows environments. Troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document APIs and processes, ensure secure handling of authentication secrets, and support operational activities including bug fixes, enhancements, and system upgrades.
