About The Role The role of Software Developer (Automation/Full Stack) at S&P; Global offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, cross-functional team dedicated to building modern, data-driven web applications deployed on AWS. As part of this team, you will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable solutions that support critical business operations related to data management, reporting, and analytics.

The position involves designing and implementing end-to-end features across the platform, working closely with product owners, data engineers, and DevOps professionals to ensure the delivery of secure, high-performing, and user-centric solutions.

This role provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience with leading technologies such as Django, React, Databricks, and AWS cloud services, while actively participating in automation, security enhancements, and operational stability initiatives. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a robust technical foundation and relevant experience, including a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.



Proficiency in Python is essential, particularly for backend development, ETL pipelines, and automation tasks.

Experience with REST API design, data modeling, and working with platforms like Databricks or similar is highly desirable. Candidates should also have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and related tools, along with containerization using Docker and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Knowledge of full-stack development combining Django and React is important, as well as familiarity with authentication systems like SAML and Okta. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust troubleshooting skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently across multiple domains. Effective communication, documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend systems using Django and Python, including REST API design, data models, migrations, and integration with external data sources such as Databricks.
- Implement authentication mechanisms using SAML/Okta, ensuring secure access control for applications and APIs.
- Build and enhance frontend applications with React, creating intuitive interfaces for data exploration, reporting, and approvals, while integrating with backend APIs.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including setting up EC2 instances, VPCs, load balancers (ALB), Route 53 configurations, and IAM roles for security.
- Manage Docker environments, automate deployment workflows using GitHub Actions,



and monitor system performance and reliability to ensure operational stability.
- Develop scalable Python-based ETL frameworks to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources such as APIs, databases, and cloud storage (S3).
- Support and troubleshoot production ETL jobs across Linux, AWS Lambda, EC2, and Windows environments, resolving failures promptly and performing root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document APIs, processes, and infrastructure, ensuring secure handling of secrets and authentication credentials.
- Provide ongoing operational support, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system monitoring to maintain high availability and performance.
