Creative Strategist / Content Lead

Mumbai-ish | Full-time | Hybrid-ish

We're building EDIT -India's first layering fragrance brand, founded by two Y Combinator founders.

We're 40 days old. Which means very little is set in stone yet.

That's the fun part.

We're looking for someone who spends too much time thinking about brands, internet culture, content and why some things just hit.

Your job is simple to explain, harder to do:

Make people stop. Make them feel something. Make them want EDIT.

What you'll actually ownIdeas. Lots of them.

You'll help build the creative engine behind EDIT across both performance marketing + organic social.

You'll

- Come up with hooks, concepts and scripts for Meta ads
- Build original content IPs people start associating with EDIT
- Turn consumer insights into content
- Script founder-led content
- Concept UGC and creator briefs
- Plan shoots that don't need ₹5 lakh production budgets
- Work with our editor to take an idea from Notes app → someone's feed
- Study what's working and figure out why
- Use performance data to make the next batch of creative better
- Help define EDIT's voice, humour and cultural POV

We're aiming for 40–50 performance assets + 20 organic Reels every month. So yes, we like ideas.





You might be our person ifYou instinctively know the difference between content that gets views and content that builds a brand.

You're obsessed with consumer brands.

You can write.

You understand short-form storytelling.

You have solid opinions about what makes something cool.

You're comfortable throwing away 8 ideas to find the 9th.

You're high agency. If you have an idea at 11AM, we'd rather you try shooting it at 3PM than schedule a meeting about it next Tuesday.

And you probably have a slightly unhealthy relationship with Instagram.

We'd love if you've

- Spent 2–4 years around D2C / consumer / fashion / culture / creative
- Worked on performance creative before
- Built social pages or content properties
- Written scripts and directed shoots
- Worked closely with founders
- Created something people actually talked about

Your portfolio matters significantly more than where you went to college. How we workWe're currently remote, but we're building this in Mumbai.

Expect us to get together 2–3 times a week to shoot, brainstorm, argue about hooks, smell perfumes and make things.

We're deliberately trying to build a workplace that's high ownership, low bureaucracy and genuinely fun to be part of.

No layers of approvals.

No “please circle back with the concerned stakeholder.”
