ROLE SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical Maintenance & Operations
Carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance of factory machinery, lighting, power distribution panels, and office electrical systems.
Attend to electrical breakdowns promptly to minimise production downtime.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance of motors, starters, MCBs, MCCBs, capacitor banks, and wiring systems.
Monitor and maintain factory HT/LT panel, transformer, and DG set operations.

Machinery & Equipment Support
Handle electrical maintenance of sewing machines, clicking press, embossing machines, skiving machines, compressors, and conveyor systems.
Coordinate with machine vendors and AMC service engineers during major breakdowns or servicing.
Assist in installation and commissioning of recent machinery and equipment.

Safety & Compliance




Ensure all electrical work is carried out as per IS standards and factory safety norms.
Maintain Electrical Maintenance Log, breakdown records, and preventive maintenance checklist.
Support statutory inspections — Electrical Inspector visits, license renewals, and documentation.
Ensure proper earthing, insulation testing, and secure isolation procedures are followed at all times.
Maintain electrical panels, control rooms, and cable trays clean and organised as per 5S standards.
Ensure proper labelling of panels, switches, and DB boards.
Report and rectify any electrical hazard, loose connection, or unsafe condition immediately.

ELIGIBILITY

Criteria - RequirementLicenseValid Electrician B License (mandatory)

Experience Minimum 5 years in factory/industrial electrical maintenance

EducationITI Electrician trade (minimum); Diploma in Electrical Engineering

preferred Industry Manufacturing preferred — leather, garments, têxtile, FMCG, or similar
