An ICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves continuous monitoring, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess critically ill patients’ conditions, including vital signs and neurological status
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions
Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing
Valid nursing license/registration
