Role Objective
The HR Officer for the Sugar Plant is responsible for supporting HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, payroll management, statutory compliance, training and development, and overall workforce management to ensure a productive and compliant work workplace at the plant.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in recruitment activities by coordinating with department heads to identify staffing needs.
Handle end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
Manage onboarding activities including documentation, induction programs, and initial training of current employees.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and issues, and escalate concerns to HR Manager when needed.
Organize employee engagement programs, welfare activities, and team-building events to boost morale.
Ensure a smooth communication flow between plant workers and management for fostering a positive work culture.
Payroll & Attendance Management
Support in maintaining employee attendance records and preparing monthly payroll inputs.
Ensure timely processing of salary disbursement and handle any payroll-related queries or discrepancies.
Statutory Compliance & Record Keeping
Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, and labor welfare acts.
Assist in maintaining accurate employee records including personnel files, leaves, and statutory documents.
Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation for internal audits and legal compliances.
Training & Development
Coordinate with the HR Manager to identify training needs for plant employees and arrange relevant training programs.
Track and maintain records of employee training and development initiatives.
