A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, advising patients on the protected use of medicines, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret physician prescriptions
Dispense prescribed medications accurately
Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage
Monitor drug interactions and contraindications
Maintain patient medication records and confidentiality
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Provide vaccinations and health screenings (where authorized)
Handle insurance claims and billing processes
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pharmacy
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm / PharmD)
Valid pharmacist license mandatory:
Robust knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and healthcare regulations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
