Interior Designer-Position Overview

An Interior Designer plans, designs, and supervises the enhancement of interior spaces to make them functional, secure, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client requirements and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation
Meet clients to understand needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget
Develop design concepts based on client vision

Space Planning & Design
Create layout plans to optimize space utilization
Select color schemes, materials, furniture, lighting, and décor

Design Development
Prepare sketches, mood boards, and 2D/3D designs
Use design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.)

Project Coordination
Work with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers
Ensure timely execution of design plans

Site Supervision
Visit project sites regularly
Monitor quality, progress, and compliance with design

Budget & Procurement
Estimate project costs
Source materials, furnishings,



and accessories

Compliance & Safety
Ensure designs meet building codes and safety regulations

Required Skills:

Technical drawing and design software proficiency
Project management ability

Problem-solving skills
Knowledge of materials, lighting, furniture, and trends

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
Relevant experience (preferred)
Portfolio of previous work

Work Setting
Design studios or offices
Client locations and project sites
Flexible schedule depending on project deadlines

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
