Key Responsibilities
Perform ARC welding (SMAW) on structural steel components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details.
Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural components such as beams, columns, frames, trusses, and brackets.
Measure, cut, align, and fit metal sections using appropriate tools and equipment.
Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, and drilling machines.
Conduct visual inspection of welds and repair defects as required.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an ARC Welder in structural fabrication.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards.
Familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
Certification in welding (preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
Experience in heavy structural steel fabrication.
Knowledge of different welding positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
Good communication skills.
Solid attention to detail and quality control.
Work Conditions
Full time position.
Overtime may be required.
